WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
The most basic of human needs is HUNGER!Remember the last time when you had your dinner a little later than usual? Well, if that was rough, imagine the lives of thousands of Homeless people in New York City, for whom every meal is a luxury

WHAT DO WE WANT TO DO?
Official surveys indicate that every year more than 350 billion pounds of edible food is available for human consumption in the United States. Of that total, nearly 100 billion pounds, including fresh vegetables, fruits, milk, and grain products, are lost to waste by retailers, restaurants, and consumers.
HUNGER and WASTE form quite an ironic juxtaposition. But we can make a difference. We could help gather all the waste food across the city, from restaurants and homes in order to feed the homeless.

BUT WHAT ABOUT DISTRIBUTION?
We need to provide the homeless, accessibility to food centers on an everyday basis. Every homeless person should know of the existence of our service. This is going to require a lot of volunteers. But I am sure there are enough of you out there who share my passion in eradicating hunger!

So what are you waiting for? Join HIM and lets MEETUP and discuss a solution!
